How can you not pop into Piccadilly Market, for each and every one of it’s three Markets each year. Hitting top spot as a must-visit, must-buy experience, in March, August and December, this event is held at Deakin Waterfront Geelong. Even the Weather God knows to put on it¹s sunniest smile on these Sundays. With the locals and lucky tourists, heading for a bayside stroll, followed by a latte, macchiato or two, it¹s a sure thing that they stop in to explore the 70 or so boutique stalls. I have been fortunate to be a stallholder from the get-go, and I continue to enjoy and take this opportunity to liaise with, and garner customer feedback. Thanks Janina and Co.

Nestled in the mountains, 170km south of Mexico City, is the heritage-listed town of Taxco. This picturesque village, famous for it’s silver mines and thousands of local silversmiths and Artisans in it’s 1950s peak, is still home to some of the most beautifully crafted silver in Mexico. Little Mexico proudly offers an exclusive and uniquely designed collection of Mexican sterling silver jewellery, directly from it’s locals.

Our collection comprises exquisite bracelets, earrings, rings, pendants and brooches. Their eye-catching detail is inspired by pre-hispanic design found in the ancient civilisations of the Mayan, Olmecs and Aztecs, through to such Taxcan renaissance silversmiths of the 20th century, as William Spratling and Hector Aguilar.

Treat yourself with timeless piece of art. Enjoy a little piece of mexico.

The folkart and jewellery produced by the Huichol People of Nayarit and Jalisco states in Mexico’s west are quite arguably some of the most colourful, indigenous art in the region. Traditionally, their finely beaded work was crafted utilising shells, seeds and coral. Nowadays it is more common to find it crafted using brightly coloured, european glass or resin beads.

Inspiration for their intricate designs is drawn from years of legend and interaction with mother nature. The deer, peyote cactus and maiz feature heavily in their colourfula and very decorative work. little mexico is now proud to offer our exclusive range of Huichol Jewellery sourced recently from Jalisco.
